Logging on to CSMS Portal
You must be an authorized user to log on to the CSMS Portal system. Refer to the Notice and Consent Banner for more information. For information to apply for access, see New User Application.
To log on to the CSMS Portal system, do the following from the Home page:
- Click the
option from the menu bar to display the Login screen.
- Enter your User Name.
- Enter your Password. See Forgot your Password to request a password reset.
- Enter the required six-digit Security Code generated by CSMS Portal. The security code is sent via SMS text message to the mobile phone number stored in your user profile or sent via email to the email address stored in your user profile. If the field is not available, refer to the Notes that follow for details on the authentication setup process.

Note the following:

Starting January 1, 2023, all users will be required to enter a security code to access CSMS Portal.

The system will prompt users for either a mobile phone number or email address. Click Choose another method to toggle between the options. Do one of the following:

To receive the security code via SMS text message, toggle to the mobile phone option. The system will display the mobile phone number stored in your user profile. Confirm the mobile phone number if displayed or enter a mobile phone number and click Send Code. The system will update your user profile if a new mobile phone was provided.

To receive the security code via email, toggle to the email option. The system will display the email address stored in your user profile. Confirm or enter a new email address if desired and click Email Code. The system will update your user profile if a new email address was provided.

Once your security code is generated, the Security Code field is available and the system will no longer prompt the user with the authentication setup process.

CSMS Portal will require all new users added on or after September 30, 2022 to complete the authentication setup process and enter the required security code when logging on for the first time.

A user account is locked every three (3) consecutive unsuccessful attempts to log in. An unsuccessful attempt is defined as entering either an invalid User Name and/or Password. The lockout period is thirty (30) minutes.
